Great doorbell with minor quirks

Works great as a doorbell and integrates well with the Unifi dream machines and Android app. It can be powered by 24V passive POE adapters if you don't have a compatible doorbell transformer. Some minor annoyances are the LED on the bottom is weak if you're hoping to light up your porch at night. The package detection is great when it works, but I've had a couple packages that it didn't detect. It also integrates nicely with HomeAssistant to do cool things like play sounds on your Google Home or Alexa Echo when the button is pressed.

Works as expected

I added the Ubiquiti Unifi 4G doorbell to my existing network and Cloud Key Plus 2. It worked just as expected. Setup was simple, like all other Unifi devices. The software is easy to configure and use. The official installation video skips an important step of installing a component at the doorbell chime so follow the printed instructions as well.

Great Doorbell Camera that does not need cloud subscription

Great but.....

its a great camera but sucks at ringing the door bell. I have a mechanical door bell and every time it goes ring the bell the power to move the hammer on the chime turns on for to long. it make s more of ding with no reverb and then a nice buzz sound. Ok lets break down the whole setup. Opening the product was great. Installing the hardware was great. Simple easy to setup and get online. Love the interface, fits right in with the other cameras I have already. The wifi is strong where its installed, it does need the 24v 40va power supply. The only thing that is driving me nuts right now is that it keeps dropping the wifi connection twice a day at different times. Nothing else in my setup does that. When I go and look into the unit on the cloud key side of it. It says that it did not loose connection. I'm not sure if it is a bug or not right now. Face it the fact i dont have to pay monthly fees, I can see the all the files when i want to. There is way to many things right with this door bell to not have one.
