  1. Not good for Gb speeds

    When I had my uplink at 200 Mbps performance wasn’t too bad as long as you don’t enable IDS/IPS which then performance drops below 90 Mbps.

    Now after an upgrade to a 1 GbE uplink this device can’t handle the faster broadband and forget about IdS/IPS.

    Our previous wifi router (a $200 range consumer Linksys router) came in our office to it's limits, dropped connections more and more often. We have approx. 10 people working with all kinds of devices from PCs/Macs to phones and iPads and a few other things (standard office work, some video calls, emails, nothing too demanding).
    A call with deploy depot recommended this router with the Unify US-8 switch (we had already a Unify AP). My colleage picked these units up still the same day at their Montreal location, the next day I installed it. The unify system is pretty straightforward (I have technical knowledge but are not a network expert) and gives overview over all unify devices on a single admin UI. No problems since then, now running nearly a month.
    Our previous router was downgraded to a second wifi access point in bridge mode.
    So, these units covered our needs, were easy to install and the shop's service great.

    We ordered a Unifi USG Gateway from DeployDepot and we needed it very quickly. We received a followup phone call almost immediately after ordering that we could receive our item quicker if we selected a different shipping method. We ended up saving money on shipping and received our product very quickly. It was shipped within an hour of order. Very happy with product and service and would highly recommend Deploy Depot! A pleasure doing business with them!

    Replaced my consumer-grade wireless router with the USG and some other goodies. This thing is heavy - both in terms of -duty and its physical weight. It's well made.

    Setup was super-straightforward, and (along with the Unifi Controller, which I'm running in a Docker container on my server) it's incredibly powerful. It's more involved than a basic router/AP combo unit - and of course requires some additional pieces (like Unifi APs), but the configurability, stats/logs make this pretty damn awesome.

    Perfect 3-port security gateway, good for residential or small commercial applications. My clients are happy with them for the price.
